# Connector Studio permissions

> Roles and permissions that control which Connector Studio features you can use.

Your role controls which Connector Studio actions you can use. Connector Studio hides some actions and makes others unavailable.

The following table lists the permission each action needs:

| Action                          | Permission needed               |
| :------------------------------ | :------------------------------ |
| Add Vendor, Upload Specs        | Upload specification permission |
| Import from GitHub              | GitHub import permission        |
| Start Analysis, Cancel Analysis | Project analysis permission     |
| Route Designer                  | Route builder permission        |
| CS Admin                        | Platform administrator only     |

An unavailable action doesn't mean the feature is broken. To find out why an action is unavailable, point to it. To get access, ask your Connector Studio administrator to grant you the right role.
