Supported operations
The Feedzai Connector supports the following operations.Retrieve user activity analysis
- Retrieve user activity analysis details and decision for a scored session.
Response highlights
sessionId: session identifier for traceability; the connector returns this field when Feedzai supplies it.score: Feedzai risk score (0-100); the connector always returns this field.decision.decisionFlag: the connector maps this from Feedzaidecision_flag.action(Allow,Block,Challenge,Quarantine). The connector populates this field only when you configure risk rules in the Feedzai console.levelOfAssuranceRequired: assurance band; the connector derives this based on thefeedzai.decisionFlag.loa.mapping.enabledproperty (see Level of assurance and decision flags).customFields.isDecisionFlagUsed: present only when decision-flag LOA mapping is enabled;trueif the connector derived LOA fromdecisionFlag, falseif the connector used the score-threshold fallback.vendorSpecificFields.feedzaiAM: alerts (type, riskScore, view, raisedAt, type-specificextra.*) and countermeasures (action, executedAt) when Feedzai Account Monitoring returns them.
Retrieve new user activity analysis
- Retrieve unknown (prospect) user activity analysis and decision.
Provide feedback on user activity analysis
- Provide feedback on the (unknown) user activity decision retrieved in case of false positive or false negative.
Stream session risk events
- Subscribe to a real-time feed of normalized session risk events from Feedzai Digital Trust for Account Monitoring.
Level of assurance and decision flags
levelOfAssuranceRequired and decision.decisionFlag are related, but the connector populates them through different paths. How the connector derives LOA depends on whether decision-flag LOA mapping is enabled.
Configuration property
Control decision-flag-driven LOA mapping with:
Backbase sets the property and score thresholds. Tell your Backbase support team which values to use.
The default for
feedzai.decisionFlag.loa.mapping.enabled is false. Until you set it to true, the connector derives levelOfAssuranceRequired from the risk score and configured thresholds only. How the connector derives levelOfAssuranceRequired
When decision-flag LOA mapping is enabled
Whenfeedzai.decisionFlag.loa.mapping.enabled is true:
-
The connector maps Feedzai
decision_flag.actiontodecision.decisionFlag. -
If a mappable decision flag is present, the connector derives
levelOfAssuranceRequiredfrom the flag. The following table maps each decision flag to the returned level of assurance: - If Feedzai doesn’t return a decision flag (no risk rules configured in the Feedzai console) or returns an unrecognized action, the connector falls back to the following score-threshold mapping.
-
Matching is case-insensitive. The connector always returns the risk
scoreregardless of which path determines LOA. -
The connector sets
customFields.isDecisionFlagUsedtotruewhen the decision flag determines LOA, orfalsewhen the connector uses the score-threshold fallback.
When the property is false or as fallback
When the property is false, or when the connector uses the fallback path, the connector derives levelOfAssuranceRequired from the risk score and three threshold properties (levelOfAssuranceMin, levelOfAssuranceMid, levelOfAssuranceMax):
The following table shows how risk score ranges map to level of assurance:
Default thresholds are 30, 60, and 90. Backbase sets the values for your environment.
Example when the property is true
With feedzai.decisionFlag.loa.mapping.enabled=true, Feedzai can return decisionFlag: Allow and score: 70. In that case the connector returns levelOfAssuranceRequired: LOA_LOW and customFields.isDecisionFlagUsed: true. A score of 70 maps to LOA_HIGH under the threshold fallback.
