Zelle is a US person-to-person payment network. It lets consumers and small businesses send money using an email address or mobile number linked to a bank account. Banks offer Zelle inside their own digital channels so customers can enroll, fund payments from deposit accounts, and complete transfers without leaving the banking experience. FIS provides the Zelle APIs that financial institutions integrate for retail and small-business programs. The FIS Zelle Connector provides pre-built connectivity with FIS Zelle through Grand Central. It covers payer management, payer account (funding) management, and Zelle sign-in.
Retail and small-business traffic uses the same unified APIs. The connector routes each call to the matching FIS channel based on the Line-Of-Business header (Retail for SOAP PeoplePay, Business for REST Code Connect).
